    Hey guys,

I was wondering if I needed to get my power brick replaced? I purchased my MBP a few months ago, and the power brick itself has been buzzing every time it connects to an outlet (even with the 3 prong connector). Starting today, the part where the power brick connects to the MBP has started buzzing too...what gives? The sound only happens when the MBP is connected to the power brick, battery power is fine. This is a small issue...but unfortunately I have very sensitive hearing. Thanks in advance for any help!

Contact a local Apple Store or AppleCare. You can likely take the power brick into an Apple Store and get a replacement on the spot, but call ahead first to make sure.

    AppleCare is 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273)

Interesting...wobble987 had a similar problem with his Magsafe as well. I forgot what he did, maybe he took it back to Apple.

yup and got the entire macbook pro replaced :) god bless you applecare :)

it does buzz/beep/hiss/screech/fizzle/crackle, the lot! took it to digilife (apple authorized service center) they always says everything is "within spec" but is louder than normal... how is that normal? call apple again, and they agreed to get the notebook replaced. apple might not have the best quality control/R&D testing around, but they sure want to make everything right :) one of the best customer service around!

hey, you said that it only happened when you connect it to MBP? hmmm... thats strange.. my one fizzle and screech when it is by itself (not connected to anything).

i always use the 3 prong power connector.
