Is there any chance or rumor for Macbook Pro getting refreshed at Oct 20th event? not interested in Macbook Air.

I'm looking at 13'' MBP with Core 2 Duo, would apple be putting i Core processor in it anytime soon?

    Thanks!!!

Apple is not going to refresh until the new Intel platform is released next year. Besides it's not going to be a huge upgrade anyway from a performance perspective. The long battery life the current 13" MBP gets is a much more tangible benefit.

I agree. I was about to purchase a new PC to replace my Mac, but I have suddenly had another change of heart. I'm waiting until the 20th until I make any purchase though, even if I plan on purchasing a 15" MBP.

extremely unlikely... if they changed it that much, they'd probably make a new model. They can't get it that close to the 17" ... Apple doesn't sell 50 lines of computers in every possible way you can imagine like many other companies.. so each product has to be noticeably different.

I just realized, even if I do wait 3 more days and something DOES roll out, I'm just gonna have to wait even longer for the new model to start shipping :p

I would expect Apple to announce those Intel Core i5 & i7 CPU minor speed bump in the 15" & 17" MBP in the Oct 20th event. :)

maybe.. maybe not... at some events when they've released new hardware its been available immediately... and sometimes it took a few weeks.

There's no harm in waiting two days to see whether the changes to the MBP line are worthwhile.

Yeah, I guess waiting 2-3 days won't hurt, but if Jobs doesn't announce any MBP refresh in 13'' model I'm going to put each one of you in a world of hurt.

Just kidding guys :p :D , I love you all and thank you for responding to this thread and sharing your valuable views. :)
