I'm about to buy this Macbook off Craigslist and the seller accepted the price of $500. If is still looks in good condition and works great, should I sell the 2007 model Macbook for a higher price and get the money to buy the newer Macbook model that cost $1000?

Sounds too good to be true. Probably is. Beware of scammers.

If the seller is not LOCAL and says they are overseas like the UK or Italy, etc. it is a scam. They try to get you to go to some website to send money and they tell you that the company will send you the laptop and have you inspect it before they get paid, etc. ALL a scam. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

Unless you deal with local people, craigslist posts will give you lots of headache...
