I have Box account and although the B shows on the top of the screen, that's the only way I can access the Box folder. I wish the folder was on the leftside of my Finder for easy access.

Open the folder via the menu bar icon so it brings up the Finder window. Left click the root folder so it's highlighted and drag it to the Favorites section.

That only works for folders within the Box folder. I want to favorite the box folder.

It works for any folder on your computer. You need to locate the root Box folder, highlight that, then drag it over.

How do I locate the root box folder, when it is open and all I see is the folders within the box folder.

You can check the settings of Box to see where it is storing files locally.

It's most likely in your user directory, but I'm just going from experience with Google drive and Dropbox.. I don't use box..

It's the same with SkyDrive/OneDrive, at least as far as the default installation goes.

If you don't know how to access the settings in Box, I suggest you visit their website to get help as people on these forums have done a lot already. As previously said, you can even use Google to get assistance. You can also explore the content of OS X by opening a new Finder window or even search using Spotlight (it's built into Finder).
