If I have bootcamp on a macbook and download a movie from MAC, can I transfer that into the windows side of bootcamp and watch it? That goes for documents too. If I sent it to my self on email and switch OS, can I open it without any compatibility problems?

You can have all your questions answered in one of the several threads instead of creating new ones lol. And to answer your question, I don't know.

    Exactly,Just use one thread..
What do u gain by using multiple threads??
And there have been threads regarding these issues already..
Why dont you just check them first instead of starting a new thread?

What these fine folks are suggesting vaio_boi, is to use the search feature. it will answer many of your questions.

**EDIT** May I also suggest the sticky at the top of the forum. It has a lot of useful info. We really appreciate your conntributions and really want you to stick around. We just can't have lots of clutter.

You can transfer to the windows side of bootcamp if your windows partition is Fat32, if its NFTS I'm afraid you are out of luck.

Anyways like the rest said, search is your friend, and you are more likely to get your answers faster instead of waiting for replies like this.

    Cheers.

It is the file system. For instance, OS X most commonly uses HFS+, while current Windows versions use NTFS. FAT32 was the predecessor to NTFS. OS X can read and write to FAT32, but it can only read NTFS, not write. The major drawback to FAT32 is it is limited to file sizes under 2GB (I believe it's 2).
