Ok guys so I installed Vista Home 32bit. I've been getting all the microsoft updates and whatnot. However when it comes time for me to get sp1 it keeps failing to install and whatnot. Anyone have any ideas or know how to fix this? I'm honestly stumped.

Your OP is not a bootcamp related question, it's strictly about using Windows. Your question would be better suited in the Windows forum.

just to correct the terminology.. you aren't in bootcamp when you are running Windows, you are just in Windows. Bootcamp is just a tool and driver pack for helping install Windows.

why run 32 bit then? is it an older Core Duo/Solo (32bit) machine and not a Core 2 (64 bit)? I run Vista 64 ultimate in boot camp (well its installed even though I only run it through VMware, but just in case I ever want to boot in I can). It runs just fine.

I was always under the impression that you had to download it with service pack 2.

You can run Vista in SP1, but XP has to be SP2 or higher. ;)

The 64-Bit is my dads only. He doesnt want to have to need it and then be out of uses. And you only need SP2 with XP. Other then that its all good MKang.
