Greetings - there's already an excellent (and well-illustrated) review here so I just wanted to mention a couple of things about my MB. First of all, I am thrilled with the overall quality of mine ($1268 from Amazon). It is absolutely faultless - very well made. I thought (from reading the directions) that installing Bootcamp would be a little bit of a pain - but it wasn't. It was a very smooth process - I especially liked how the Leopard DVD installed all of the drivers after XP was installed and re-booted. I bought this one for my daughter for college - so now I need to figure out where to get ~ $1800 for a 15-inch MBP for myself.... :( . One last sidenote - there is a touchpad driver update on the Apple site - the link was posted here on NBR a few days ago...

Glad things are going well for you with the MB!

I'm looking for that link here on the touchpad driver you speak of, but I'm assuming its for the multi-touch pad on the new ones only, right?

You certainly can get a refurbed MBP from Apple's website for $1800 if you don't mind the old one.

Just an update - tonight I loaded Office/etc onto the XP partition. And, just for giggles, I ran good old SWAT4 (from an external/USB HDD), on battery, and it ran very smoothly. I am still very impressed - the new MB's with the Nvidia 9400 graphics are really first class (albeit expensive) systems.... :) Amazon has an MBP for $1768 after rebates - well they did yesterday anyway. Maybe those are the old ones?
