I've downloaded bootcamp, printed to official installation guide, secured a blank cd, and made sure all of my stuff (firmware, drivers, software) is up to date. Tonight, I plan to do the deed and install bootcamp and xp pro (the xppro has service pack 2) on my MBP.

Anyone have any tips, tricks, suggestions, or warnings for me on this process?

nothing too hard. just insert the cd you burned with the drivers after you install xp pro. it works perfectly.

hah. well, flashing a bios is a little more intensive than installing xp pro over boot camp. oh just make sure you install xp pro on the correct partition - there is no safety on the trigger for that. it will be evident which partition is the correct one.

so yeah i forgot to mention that. when you put in the xp pro cd, some stuff will load, but before you install anything, you will get a partition manager. dont mess around with any of the partitions. just choose to install xp pro on the partition that you chose. it will be either fat32 or ntfs of the size that you chose when you ran boot camp in osx.

seriously be careful with that. you could mess up your system in that one part.
