This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    does it work out of the box on par with other versions of windows?

    Yes it does. I even used the OSX dvd to install most of the drivers and what not. Everything works fine for me.

    one more question - the microsoft website seems to have an issue with safari and won't let me download the disc.

    will firefox work, or is it IE only?

    IE only, I believe. Safari looks like it'll work, but then just hangs.

    firefox works also, just tested.

    which is good, because i would already need to have windows installed to get access to IE...

    I use Safari in Win7 X64. There are some issues you need to do with getting Win7 X64 to work correctly. Mostly just installing the drivers individually and or Using the Compatibility function combined with Run as administrator.
