    Hey all,

I have an early 2009 Macbook unibody (2.4 Ghz).

I find the volume output to be extremely inadequate. All of my volume are at max. I click the little speaker icon in the taskbar to make sure everything (speakers, system sounds, application sounds) is max and sure it enough...they are.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks!

    Try reinstalling the sound drivers.

Or just ditch Windows on a Mac :p Too many problems to be worth it.

First question: what version of Bootcamp do you have?

Snow Leopard comes with Bootcamp 3.0 on the DVD so you need to manually update it to 3.1

Installing 3.1 solves lots of audio issues in Windows 7.

Is it Realtek audio? My 2009 MBP has Realtek but I think they switched to Cirrus Logic at some point.

If it's Realtek, their generic HD Audio driver may work (it works for me). You can get it here:

    Realtek

Just click the "HD Audio Codec" driver link and get the driver for your OS.

If it could be that easy...

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a whirl!
