    Hi guys,

I have a MacBook 2,1 (Mid 2007) with a 2.16Ghz Core 2 Duo, 3GB RAM, GMA 950, etc. I am using Boot Camp 3.2. If I boot the computer into Windows on the battery, it will always say plugged in not charging. The only way to get it to say that the computer is running on battery is to plug in the AC adapter and then unplug it, which I can't do if I don't have the AC adapter with me. While it might not be an aesthetic issue, I can't access the battery power plans to extend battery life which is already horrible under Boot Camp.

Since the battery indicator worked under XP, I tried moving the Microsoft battery drivers (battc.sys, compbatt.sys, cmbatt.sys) and overwriting the ones installed on Windows 7. This did not work as even though the files remained in the system32 drivers folder, under device manager the driver version was still the ones installed on Windows 7. Does anyone have any ideas? I saw a similar thread on http://forum.notebookreview.com/apple-mac-os-x/122878-boot-camp-vista-plugged-not-charging.html but there was no solution.

    Thanks
