So... one thing about this I'm having a hard time figuring out. How to make Apple the default boot system on my macbook pro.

At the moment unless I hold down ALT windows automatically loads - which confirms everything I disliked about MS in the first place but thats another story... ;)

On the windows side you can change it in the control panel where there is a boot camp option. In there there is a option to choose which one is automatically booted.

I'd go into windows and check for you, but I'm doing some work right now and can't switch.

I dont have personal experience with this, but Im told if you go into System Prefs then Startup Disk you should be able to select your Mac disk as the default disk to start up with.

What version of Boot Camp are you using? The instructions are in the Boot Camp Installation & Setup Guide (PDF). Look under "Starting Up Using Mac OS X or Windows" Pages 17-18.

There is a Startup Disk preference pane in the System Preferences of OS X and a similar application in the Windows control panel (that gets installed with Boot Camp). They do the same thing (change which volume is your default startup one), so just use either one of them.
