What is the biggest internal HD I could throw inside my MacBook? Any ideas of where to look for one?

    Thanks

I think the biggest 2.5" drive right now is 320GB, but I'm not sure where you can get those. Newegg has some 5400RPM 250GB drives here.

The Fujitsu MHX2300BT is a 300GB 4200 RPM 2.5" hard drive, and it can be found at a number of online retailers.

I omitted 4200RPM drives on purpose. Imo, the decrease in performance from a 5400RPM drive is not worth the larger storage.

Really? wow that is interesting. If it wasn't for my dad's drive, I probably would've bought one of the ones I linked to. You don't remember where you read that?

i remember reading on WWW.APPLE.COM that MBP's are available with 250GB Hdd's

but I suppose there is a chance that for no logical reason it wouldn't work . . .

    freaking annoying. . .comments

There's a thread on the MacRumors Forums that proves 200GB+ is possible.

why would this need to be proven possible? that is completely illogical, especially when MBP's are already available from Apple with 250gb drives.
