So, which keyboard currently manufactured by Apple do you feel is the best? The one on the Macbook Air, the one on the Macbook Pro, the wireless desktop one or the wired desktop with a num pad? Which has the best keytravel, best feel, is more ergonomic?

    Cheers

I'm not sure how to rank all of them, but the macbook air is certainly last on the list. It isn't bad if you were looking at it by itself, but it is the worst of the set when comparing it against the others.

I *believe* the other 3 are all very similar. Wireless and wired keyboards don't have any inherent differences in the key mechanisms, and the macbook pro should be equivalent as well, or maybe slightly worse.

    My guess is either:

    mba < mbp < wired = wireless

    or

    mba < mbp = wired = wireless

I haven't had any experience with a MBA keyboard in a while but I have a 13" MBP and Apple's wireless bluetooth keyboard. I like typing more on the MBP's keyboard for most tasks. They keys feel like they have a little bit more travel to them which I like. However, the Apple wireless keyboard is more ergonomic for me since it is naturally at an incline. Even then I would put them at about the same experience.

I just wish that the wireless bluetooth keyboard had a dedicated number pad as I do a lot of data entry in MATLAB and Excel. Number pads make life a lot easier when doing that. I just don't want to purchase the Apple wired keyboard since the only time I use my bluetooth keyboard is when my MBP is hooked up to my HDTV at home. Running a wire across the living room would not be optimal especially with a small dog running around.
