I found this somewhat handy in transfering stuff from a PC to a Mac. Does the Apple Store transfer data from your PC to a Mac for free? I can't remember if it's a free service for new Mac purchases only...

It is free, but I'm not sure if they only limit that to new purchases.

When I bought my MBP, they offered to transfer files from my iMac and PC to it. But I had to decline, since they were quoting a 3 day transfer time.
