My macbook turns itself off at 25% charge. How can I fix this?
And is there a way to have a warning when the battery hits a certain level? PC laptops always give a warning at 10%, and I find it a bit weird that a mac wouldn't be able to do the same.

i have no such options to edit when/what % the battery shuts the laptop down.
are you sure its not 25min? that may be getting to the point of "its time to Shutoff" -
No, it's 25%. The battery indicator isn't even red yet. It used to shut down at a much lower number, but for some reason the indicator is screwed up now.

No idea. Reset the SMC? Calibrate the battery?
-
osx right? not xp or vista?
just making sure -
Yeah, OS X.
-
Possibly a defective battery? could also be that it's not callibrated so the charge that the macbook is telling you it has is not accurate. Try callibrating it and seeing if it happens again.
-
Yeah, that's weird...try calibrating first.
Battery: hibernate at 25%?
