Any fix to battery going down really fast when using Chrome? I'm just doing basic web browsing but it seems chrome drains my battery like crazy.

I'd check to see how much CPU Chrome uses. If it's constantly demanding an unreasonable amount of CPU cycles, try to figure out what might be causing it (disable plugins, etc.). Try using different browsers too to see if it's just Chrome being a CPU hog.

Yea, I figured it's Chrome but I can't see myself switching to a different browser because the extensions/add-ons/apps are so useful. Firefox has all these but I'm so integrated to Chrome now...thanks for the reply!

If you have a MacBook with dual GPUs, Chrome might be doing something that's triggering the discreet GPU. Install the app gfxcardstatus to monitor the GPU's behavior.

Mine's just the 13in one so I believe it only has the one Intel Iris card.
