I have a MacBook 2.0 GHz white notebook. I have been using it for about 6 months 5 months now. No problems whatsoever. I have an application "Coconut Battery" which shows the battery capacity (not the battery charge). It has come down to 93%. Why is this deterioration? Has anybody experienced this? Is there anyway to increase the battery capacity to >98%. The no of battery cycles is 56

Li-Ion batteries deteriorate with age. This is an unavoidable fact. Have you been calibrating it regularly?

Read through the battery guide for more information.
