Does using a program like MagicPrefs or BetterTouchTool cause the battery to wear out faster?

Ever since using those programs, I see my battery life drop a few percent each day. I mean.. I do use my computer for many hours each day, but I've never seen such a rapid drop before.

    Thanks!

I don't think those programs should do that. I don't have them installed on my system but I have had my Magic Mouse ever since buying my MBP (which arrived two days after Apple launched the new lineup) and it is currently sitting at 70%. That is with a constant use of about 2-3 hours a day.

No clue about your question, but have you taken a look at that inductive charger for the magic mouse? I've never seen or used it (nor do I have a magic mouse), but the pics at the Apple store look pretty cool :p

Do you turn it off when you're done using it? I've found that it makes a big difference, especially with a bunch of other BlueTooth users around.
