Basic games for Mac

I recently bought a Mac for my Mom, and she's lamenting the fact that she can't play her games on it... nothing hard-core, but stuff like Bejeweled and Scrabble (which she goes to msn.com for).

Are there any Mac-friendly sites she can go to?

And does anyone have a suggestion for some software that I could buy her, that might include several games?

(as you can tell, I never play games, and have no clue about what to buy or what sites to go to!)

Mac Games is a good source for what's available. Two other Mac game makers are Pangea and Skunk Studios (easy to Google). Skunk has a number of games that might fit the bill - and I believe there are some puzzle games as well.

 

Definitely check out the games from www.freeverse.com and www.ambrosiasw.com - they both specialize in those sorts of general friendly games, etc.

For free online games and stuff, you might check www.pogo.com - my mom actually enjoys playing a lot of the games on there, and they seem to work on her Intel iMac.

Thats kinda weird I don't see many of that around here.

I know you can play the original Simcity for free online right now, unfortunately you have to run IE for it to even work.

Both safari and firefox did not work.

A search on google will find it.
