I recently bought a Mac for my Mom, and she's lamenting the fact that she can't play her games on it... nothing hard-core, but stuff like Bejeweled and Scrabble (which she goes to msn.com for).

Are there any Mac-friendly sites she can go to?

And does anyone have a suggestion for some software that I could buy her, that might include several games?

(as you can tell, I never play games, and have no clue about what to buy or what sites to go to!)

    Thanks!

Mac Games is a good source for what's available. Two other Mac game makers are Pangea and Skunk Studios (easy to Google). Skunk has a number of games that might fit the bill - and I believe there are some puzzle games as well.

Please try not to triple/quadruple post, just edit the previous one if no one has responded yet. ;)

Thanks for all the links, I will probably add it in a special section of its own in the Mac guide, I'll look at them first.

I know you can play the original Simcity for free online right now, unfortunately you have to run IE for it to even work.

Both safari and firefox did not work.

A search on google will find it.

thanks all for the sites.... she'll be psyched!
(obviously, i wasn't of much help to her!)

Edit: forgot to mention that she only plays the free stuff, though if she can't find bejeweled for mac i'm sure she'll buy a copy
