    My new MBP has a label on the box that says the backlamp contains mercury, I thought the new MBP had no mercury. Did I get an older model?

    sounds like it. the LED LCD is mercury free

    i remember reading a post on here that the new models still had the mercury stickers...

    The 17" Model still has a non-LED display. You probably got that.
