The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Availability of Mactels?

    I was just wondering, are they just planning on announcing these in Jan. or would they be available to buy at that time?

    If they were to be announced in January, chances are, they'd be available for sale two or less weeks after official announcement. Unlike PC chip (be it CPUs or video card GPUs) manufacturers, Apple does not make it a habit of announcing products far before its release date. If the rumors are true, expect the Intel Powerbook by late January to mid Febuary.
