Since all of my contacts etc are in Outlook, which I normally synch my PPC with, what would the situation be once I moved to Mac? Would I be forced to use Boot Camp and waste HD space on a Windows OS or is there some kind of software that makes it all work somehow?

MarkSpace's "The Missing Sync" for OS X might be your best bet:

Generally this is focused more on synching your PocketPC with OS X's apps (like the Address Book for Contacts). It does work with Entourage 2004 (part of Office 2004 for OS X), which is sort of their Mac equivalent of Outlook.
If you wanted to specifically keep using Outlook though, you probably would need to at least use Boot Camp. -
I would imagine iSync would work right off the bat, and just use all of OS X's versions to associate with the stuff on the PDA

Well I was thinking of Palm for some reason, totally went over my head there, obvisually palm doesn't support Windows.
UPDATE: Jeez I must be having brainfarts all day. Palm does support windows, what I meant was OS X doesn't support Pocket PCs without that software.
Anyways heres a link to the sync information.

It contains a link to the Mark space stuff at that link as well. -
Ahh, gotcha.
Yeah, honestly, if I was a PocketPC user with a Mac I'd probably invest in the Missing Sync (outside of the contacts syncing, I figure it is nice to be able to mount your device, use it to install software, etc.).
As there is no Outlook in mac, would I still be able to use my pocket PC?
