I was thinking this coming Core i Macbook Pro will be my 3rd laptop under 4 years...

I never like desktop... I consider they are big chunk of concrete road block.

I still have my first laptop running but many parts of it has been replaced since I overdosed to much steroids on it.

    What about you guys?

    xD

    2006 to now:
    Inspiron 6400 (smashed screen)
    hp nc8000 (desktop)
    Joybook S42 (primary)
    Thinkpad X61 Tablet (spare)

    :C

Soon I'll want an i7 because my current Core 2 Duo P8600 is too slow to do some things in real-time.

Maybe I should have written cracked screen.

There was a dead pixel in the center at the top of the screen and I was tying to massage it out with my thumb.

I am for sure a laptop collector lol, but after moving to a desktop my laptop purchasing speed has become slow :D

    Since Year 2006:

    Sony Vaio AR
    Sony Vaio SZ (primary *love*)
    Sony Vaio Z
    HP dv2t
    HP dv4t
    Dell XPS Studio 13
    Dell XPS Studio 16
    Dell XPS 1530
    Macbook Pro 13" Unibody

The Dell XPS Studio 13 and 16 were returned since they generate too much heat and so many problems.. other than that, I have all the notebooks in the family ( I have given it to my brother and sisters )

Now I have an eye on the new Sony Z *love* and ofcourse the refresh Macbook (?) whenever they become available :(

Gather all those notebooks there I could have bought a nice Japanese used car.

My first notebook costs like hell $2300 and this second is $1200 + $600 upgrades ($1800)... and Macbook Pro will be above $2000+.

hahahaha :D I just used to have a craze for laptops. My Sony AR was for some 2600$ and SZ was 3500$ . Old crazy times, but then my hobby shifted to Photography and Cameras lol :D

    @ crazycanuk:

    Nice !! When are u adding M11x for on-the go gaming :p ?

On a serious note, how is the UL30VT? Its a tempting little thing.. since Asus 30JT seems no where near =S.. Can the UL30VT play 720p HD movies/clips? and heavy multi-tasking (browsing)? :)

not sure yet I have been eyeing one but sadly enough NONE of us are gamers, the above mentioned graphics based machines ( AW 17X and 9750 and ASUS G51 ) are for my wifes business as she is a heavy CAD and graphics user,

I may be seeing what ASUS does with its ULXXJT series too as I figure they will actually be a sweet little machine even if only has a 310 in it

screams through them with no issue. I hook mine up all the time to stream 1080p to my TV, and define heavy multitasking, I find it right on par with the MBP 13 bootcamped with win 7. but with twice the battery. ( 8.25 - 10 hours of actual use )
