I have my install disks from my mac mini and I want to wipe my 2008 MacBook. Can I use these disks to install 10.6.8 again? Or do I need the install disks for the MacBook?

You should be able to install

Ok...I will give it a shot!

No go. Won't allow it to be installed. I went back to my hard drive, I am going to format my SSD and install again.

I would try downloading a clean ISO of snow leopard and making a bootable USB drive installer with the snow leopard image. -
The 2008 Macbook (Intel GMA X3100) will take a Lion (10.7) installer . Can you get that and make a USB installer from the Mac App Store? (You may have to un-hide old purchases, assuming Apple thinks you bought Lion.)
I always bought a retail DVD of 10.5 and 10.6 ($20 or 30) and just used that. It's for reasons like the OP describes is why I hate all castrated OEM media with the fire of a thousand suns. -

My mac is messed up. I cannot log in to the store, it says my password is incorrect, I know its right....then it sends me a code for my phone, which I enter into the password section and still nothing. I cannot use boot camp to put windows on it...it just looks for a boot drive....and I cannot select one. I think its done for.

I am selling it for parts etc. I removed the hard drives, and just selling the rest of it. Since I cannot get it working correctly, I may try to format the hard drive on another computer so its clean again, and try loading from that disk again.

I will figure it out. somehow...even if I have to buy the install disks again.
