    Whoa.

If anything, it should be coming today! I paid the extra shipping as well, I ordered it on Thursday and got it on Monday. Did you check FedEx to see if its even in transit right now?

Sounds like you might have to Call Apple and do something about that.

Well did you recieve your order confirmation and stuff through e-mail?

That's not like Apple to do something like that. Something seems kinda fishy

No, it shouldnt take that long really. You live in the States? If you just got your invoice today, than I would assume it means they just shipped it.

It took me only a weekend and it came all the way from China.

Maybe but the Invoice doesnt mention anything about it being shipped it jsut tells me everything about my order including my additional shipping costs and what not, also If I go to the Order Status website it doesnt mention anything about it being shipped either.

Im also plannign on writing a review on this laptop, Im currently using a DELL INSPIRON 2200 to type this, so its going to be interesting to compare them.

I don't know what to say exactly about the whole shipping thing, but if nothing happens by tomorrow, I would give Apple a call or something.

If you're going to do a review, make sure you at least use it a week before doing it, to many just use it a day or two and just give their feelings on it.

Dont worry as far as the review part goes, I was a big reviewer for a Tech/gaming site a few years ago. I did a lot of Digital Camera Reviews as well as a lot of video game reviews. It will turn out nice and I try not only to use the product for some time before reviewing it but try to do everything I can with the product before reviewing. So when I get my MacBook.... IF I get my MacBook :) :) :) I will use it for a week or more before reviewing as well as making sure too try a lot of things, including the OS, this is my first true mac computer, I mean I used one about 7 years ago or something for a few days but thats it. So when I bought my MacBook I kind of just went out on a limb with it as far as the MAC thing is conserned.

I just hope that the notebook comes in sometime soon!

Ok it seems like on the 17th that FedEx recieved the information to come and pickup the notebook, and should have been picked up on the 18th at the latest.

Might be possible theres something going wrong with shipping overseas or something, but like I said give Apple a Call tomorrow if it doesn't show up or you don't recieve anymore information about it.

Either somethings up or someone out there is very happy with their new macbook (jk)

IT HAS BEEN SHIPED!!!!!!!! Wow, It may have tooken some time, but at least I will be getting it soon!! Although I have anouther Concern....

I recieved thier e-mail this morning at 1:42 in the morning, Tuesday the 25th. It was shiped on Tuesday the 25th but the e-mail does say I ordered 2 day shipping but gives me an estimated delivery date of August 1st!

So with 2 day shipping thier saying the 25th to the 1st is 2 days? Even if its 2 buisness days I should be getting it on the 27th at the latest right?

Just woundering if this estimate is accurate or I should be expecting my laptop thursay ratehr then next tuesday. Ohh yeah I live in the upper east coast of america and it was shipped from the west coast of Canada.

LOL. Just relax we know your excited. ;)

FedEx as well as UPS always give themselves a 'buffer' so that customers can't complain if something goes wrong during the shipment, this is rare to happen. That express shipping is actually 2-3 days not just 2 days too ;).

From personal experience with FedEx, they always Deliver WAY early, they delivered 2 days eariler than what I was told. So I would say that most likely it'll be friday you will get it, if you live in a bigger city, than most likely thursday. In any case, it's probably safe to say by the end of this week, you'll have a Macbook in your hands.

Think of it this way, maybe the reason for that delay was because Apple said to hold all products while they did a silent revision, to further improve the performance of the Macbook (addressed the heat issue better?) but thats just hoping. ;)

Well, you can go to www.mac.com and sign up for a free trial, no credit card needed to sign up, and they have tutorials in it on how to use OS X.

However, I prefer the book 'Mac OS X Tiger Edition; the missing manual' By David Pogue because I feel it does the best at what its made for, it contains pictures and tells of how to do everything in layman terms, so you won't be struggling with hard computer terminology or anything. Its 29.95. Yeah, kinda expensive, but imo it's worth it. Plus some places give discounts on this kind of thing like 15% off or whatever, like Barnes and Noble. (thats if your a member)

You'll understand OS X fine, it's not that hard, just play around with it. I bought the book because I wanted in-depth knowledge of it, things I wouldn't normally find out on my own from playing around, or just to get an idea of what OS X is capable of.

    Imo.. EVERYTHING.

Last night I tried Civilization IV for Mac, heh the integrated graphics do pretty well for such a heavy eye candy game, but I can't say what it would be like if there was a lot of action on screen. I might try The Sims 2 when its available as UB.

As for Civ IV on the Macbook, I don't know if I'd recommend it anyways. I would assume the Sims should work a bit better? Than again I never really played games on mac

WoW!!! Dedicated FedX or just messed up Tracking Number???

My MacBook was shipped out, I mean actually put on a truck and put into "transit" at 5:29AM and it is now 6:07. Does that mean that my laptop has been on a truck for almsot 13 hours straight or that they havnt updated my tracking number yet? Maybe thier taking it directly to me hehe :) JK but I just found it funny is all.

Ok, I just have to say one thing here, and thats Apple.com has disapointed me severly. They say that shipping takes 5-7 buisness days and I paid for 2 day shipping. Granted they are allowed an extra day on the shipping becuase its really 2-3 right? I ordered the Laptop on Monday the 17th. The laptop was shipped Tuesday the 25th, that is 7 buisness days. So that is resonable according to thier predictions. Now the shipping from FedX is truly disapointing me becuase I paid Apple for two day shipping, they recomend it will be in on August 1st (monday) which is 5 Days to Ship!!!! To make matters even more horrable, the tracking number Apple Gave me on the FedX website says it will be ariving on the 2nd, which means 6 Days to Ship!!!! I am starting to believe it will take that long also, because the tracking number may have only updated once, but it says my package went from the Upper West coast of Canada to the lower west coast of Canada in one day. How am I suppose to believe that the Laptop is going to come in in two days if its not even on the right side of the US, I live in the North East of USA.

So I'm just saying that I'm highly disipointed in Apple and this has affected how much I trust there estimetes. They gave me a MAX estimate of 10 Days that includes the MAX days it would take to ship and the exta leway day on the 2 day shipping. Thats a total of 10 days MAX it would take to get to me and its already been 8. I mean yes it could arrive in the next 2 days to make there MAX estimate but the way the tracking number shows it I dont think they can drive it that fast, unless they Air Mail it closer its going to take longer the two days.

Remember those are JUST ESTIMATEs, they aren't the actual thing. Yes, FedEX is a bit weird in terms how they word things, if it says it was actually shipped today, and you don't recieve it on friday, give Apple a call and complain, you wouldn't believe how much weight can carry when they talk to another company in terms of disappointing services and stuff, Apple will most likely upgrade your shipping even further, they might get a hold of FedEX, and do an overnight shipping on that, and you'll recieve it on saturday.

It appears that Friday is the '3rd' day. These are FedEX's estimates as well, try not to feel negavtive towards the company but the delivery service.

Some places just have better service than others, I know FedEX around where I live is terrific and fast, however the UPS just plain sucks.

Well I got "concerned" after calling FedX and they gave me the same answer of next week some time mid week. So I did what you said in earlier posts and Called Apple. They did surprise me on what they Did/Said.

The did say that there were "many" complications with my order or laptop that delayed the beginning of shiping it out, so you where right on that end. However they did say that it was shipped with a 2 Day Shipping lable on the package although recently, and yes this came from Apple Themselves, Recently FedX has been shipping thier packages slower then normal for a reason they did not give me. They are however adding me to the list of people who have been getting wierd shipping and they are trying to talk to FedX to fix this problem. They also said to me that if I do not recieve my product by the end of thursday(might have been friday) that they will refund my shipping in full.

Seeing how well they responded to my call and the fact that it wasnt there fault it is FedX, and that the problem has happen before, I do have to take back what I said about them, to some degree. I think they should have contacted me in some manner to inform me that there were problems with my Order, but seeing how well they took my call and gave a more then accetable solution I do have to say Apple is one of the better companies I have worked with but they arnt the best. They good but I still think an e-mail about the complications would have been sufficient.
