I have figured out that most shortcut keys are the same on Windows and Apple except for the fact that Windows is ctr+ and alt+ while Apple is "Apple"+. However on Windows, you can use alt+tab to scroll threw your opened WINDOWS while Apple you can only scroll threw your opened APPLICATION. This is very annoying because when I have two words or two browsers open, I would like to scroll threw them and use apple+tab to make things faster. Does anyone know how to do this? Is it on the preference setting.

Thats very much not true.
Apple tab scrolls through the different programs, and apple+~ scrolls through different windows in a program. Or you can use the ultra nifty Expose. That will allow you to display all windows of a particular program or all open windows.
I honestly would prefer to switch the apple ~ and apple tab functions, as I'm used to the way it is in windows. I've just been too lazy to go to the keyboard page and do that.
*edit*
hrm, actually, I don't see the apple tab command in the preferences. I do see the apple ~ one... There is a tool to change that, but I thought you could do it natively. It's probably hidden someplace. -
Ah, keyboard commands. Most Apple vets are well versed in them and use them extensively. That's probably why they don't mind the single button trackpad so much.
BTW, the Apple key is actually referred to as the "Command" key, represented by the Apple as well as that funny symbol next to it. You'll also see it listed as "Cmd" sometimes. Here's the whole list of shortcuts. Very handy thing to keep bookmarked. -
BTW, I found the full keyboard access on that shortcut page in the keyboard/mouse settings.
Now I can finally tab to the dropdown lists! whoo hoo! -
let's keep your apple related questions in the apple forum.
