So long story short I sent my MBP off to have the superdrive replaced as it would burn cd's or dvd's, nor would it even read them. When I got it back, it would read some cd's and dvd's but still no go on burning them. So I called Applecare and talked with a product specialist.
When he saw that I had just got my machine back and the problem wasn't fixed he offered me some kind of olive branch. At first he listed off some software options that I either already had or didn't want and we finally settled on a brand new iPod Nano(8GB, red).
Now I'm sending my laptop back(again) to have the drive replaced and tested by a repair depot supervisor, as well as getting a gift for the troubles I've experienced.
So while I'm a bit upset that I keep having to send this thing in for repairs, they are apologizing with gifts, which is nice!
Just thought I'd share cause I'm a little bit excited(I'd never actually buy an iPod, let alone a Nano so it's definitely something I'd never have otherwise).
