Trying to make this decision here.

    MBP over M1530

I'm this close to submitting an order for the M1530. But I've also stopped by the Apple Store last weekend and was highly tempted by the MBP. The only thing stopping me is the rumored MBP defects.

Wifi disconnects (the big problem), yellowing screens, lag in keyboard typing.

(The M1530 suffers in its own right from grainy screen issues but aside from that, most reviews I've read have raved about the unit)

I don't mind forking over the price "premium" in going from a Dell to an Apple but I also don't want to be saddled with a $2000 defect-top.

Anyone care to reassure me that despite all these issues, Apple is still the right way to go?

I haven't had any of those issues. The nice thing about buying an Apple is that you can return it right to the store if anything IS wrong. But, while I can't vouch for all MBPs, mine's been a dream.
