I know that my VISA credit card doubles the warranty of products that I purchase on the card, up to a maximum of 1 year. So for example, if I buy a DELL/HP/etc. laptop with 2 years of warranty, my credit card will cover the 3rd year. Does that also apply to apple (macbooks)?

ALso, I was looking for the thread that has some links for people who just switched from a pc to a mac, and are not so literate in the mac world. But I couldn't find the thread. Anyone knows where it is?

i would just contact VISA to confirm that, but I don't see why it wouldn't be covered, but you can never be sure ya know.

as for links, first I would go to the source

then here are the sticky threads in this forum for mac

if you have never used OSX before the first moments with it may be a little frustrating, especially if you are an experienced Windows user, I really know my way around Windows and OSX extremely well now, it took me a while to warm up to OSX starting a few years ago, but I am definitely comfortable using either one now.

Windows has it's issues, so does OSX, you will figure that out once you start using it.

but basically, if there is something you can't figure out by looking at Apple's website or other sites, definitely ask a question here and everyone here will let you know.

(haha, trying to make up for being a **** before) good luck with everything.

the best thing to remember if you are getting frustrated with OSX, Windows, any computer in general.

Computers don't do what you want them to do, they do what you tell them to do.

Keep that in mind and you will be good to go :p
