I just checked the Apple online store and it is down in every country. Could this mean product updates?

Most probably... wonder what...
-
Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully it's something worth the wait.

I would like it if they brought out a new mini, and a new true video ipod to go alongside the existing ipods.
-
Here's hoping for core2duo's in the mb and mbp.
My guess is it will be a small update if anything....there hasnt been any press conferences that I know of to go along with this downtime....so that rules out big things like a new ipod or new mini.

looks nice... fw800 on every MBP at least, DL DVD-RW. Not that they changed much, but they were quite beefy machines to start with. Now let's wait till the macbooks are upgraded as well..

Hmm. Macbook Pros now look much better with more RAM, HDD and a better CPU.

I knew something was up last night, my OmniWeb was triggering a lot and kept showing multiple code changes from Apple.com and the fact that it was wednesday in the wee morning at the time.
No suprise that the MacBook did not get an update, like many of us said here even after constantly trying to tell everyone who said that the MB would most likely get the update the same time, when in fact it didn't. Anyways give it a another few weeks I guess? I still wouldn't be surprised if it end up taking a month, or for that fact until after MacWorld.
What surprised me the most actually was that all models had 800 firewire now, but did they get lighter too or were they 5.6lbs before the change too? -
I am pretty sure they were always 5.6lbs. I just hope they have improved the cooling.

Nope, not only can you cook eggs on em, but you can also cook a whole steer.
But on a serious note, I completely forgot about meroms heat issue. It will be interst to see
