Apple MacBook Pro 2007 Edition dose it make CPU whine ?
-
What is a 2007 Edition? If you are referring to just the new Santa Rosa based Macbook Pros, then yes, it is likely that there is CPU whine, though I haven't heard many complaints about it. But it's really an Intel issue, and manufacturers everywhere are having to deal with it.

I have heard some people say that theres was whinning but I think apple corrected the problem -
I don't hear anything like that with mine.
-
I don't notice or hear any "whine" noise coming from the MBP... All I hear is me typing like mad on the keyboard.
-
nothing like that on mine .
-
Same here. I haven't heard a whine and don't look forward to one either!
-
No whine neither here. The only time I can hear something from the MBP is when reading a cd/dvd, but that's pretty normal.
-
the whine is there as much as any other PC manufacturer will have it. its all the same intel chips. it is there for some.
-
How is this in any way, shape or form an intel issue?
CPUs can't 'whine'.
Why then, you ask, does the whine start/stop/change with cpu usage?
Simple, as CPU usage changes, so do their power needs. The whine you are hearing is actually coming from the inductors (and sometimes capacitors) which make up the voltage regulation circuit for the CPU.
And, to answer the question... My 15" 2.4 MBP has no noticeable whine other than from the HDD/fans. I'm also very sensitive to this sort of noise. -
my brother's macbook pro doesn't make the whine
i have noticed on my m1210 b4 that it only whines when it is running vista
my brother has only tried osx and win xp on his mbp
