I want to purchase a new MacBook Pro and I was considering joining the Apple Developer Connection to receive the developer discount... any ideas how much of a discount you'd get on a new MBP C2D 2.33GHz 15"? Any warnings about this approach?

    Thanks,
    Cliff.

I can't remember exactly. I thouht it was 20%, but you don't get discounts on uprades.
If you can get a student discount, use that instead. It's a better discount.

Student discounts are usually 10% though, or is it more in the US? But I don't know what the developer discount is either, just going off the number given by hollownail :)

Whoops, sorry both discounts are 10%. Not sure why I was thinking 20%. The base price of a machine (with no upgrades) will be the same. But you have to pay the money as part of the ADC membership....

I just remember that it was more expensive to go with the ADC membership than to just use my student discount for the same build.
