After searching on google, I found that the date is at the end of May. Can anyone confirm (previous purchaser?)

On, or about May 25th, for the last couple of years. But as everyone knows, even though you might observe some consistency in Apple's intro dates, they (Apple) are quite insistent that for future planning nothing should not relied upon.

As stated, apple is really bad about posting sales dates and such. There is no guarantee that they are going to have another back to school event, but if they do, it would be safe to say its at the end of this month.

Yeah I called in to the nearest Apple Store and they said that if I buy a Mac now I won't be eligible to get the iPod Touch, which means I have to wait till the end of the month which = sucks :(

At least my GF is coming home soon.

Anyone else that went through with the deal on the opening day?

All the smart people went to BestBuy/FutureShop last year to get their free iPod Touch WITHOUT the mail in rebate xD
