    Hello,

    Scenario:

Basically, I got a new phone that has 360 x 640 pixels, 3.7 inches. It can play all the video formats. I have a set of workout videos I want to put on the phone.

The trick here is, I want the videos to take up the least amount of memory and be still be viewable, meaning I don't need it to look the greatest but the size should just be big enough to be watched, and doesn't lag, doesn't need the greatest audio quality either.

So I am using the Prism app, is it any good? Should I use another app? What video format would you suggest to save memory space? What output options would you suggest to save memory space yet viewable? Ex. Pixel size, audio format, etc...

    Thanks

*Better yet, is there an APP that strips the audio from the video, so I can just listen in.

I think quicktime can strip audio from video.

    or VLC.

Handbrake will also let you set custom output resolutions, and you can also adjust the audio quality/res.

+1 for Handbrake. If all you want to do is optimise a video for a handheld device, Handbrake is your best option.

    You have SimpleMovieX.

    - edit and converts to most formats (MP4, 3GP, ...)
    - batch converter: convert many files in one shot.
    - allow to adjust many setting to optimize quality/size ratio:
If your phone supports MP4, probably Export to iPhone is the best option.
If your phone supports 3GP, Export to 3GP can do a decent job.
    - can strip audio off, doing "separate tracks"

among other things this app can do.

SimpleMovieX is cool, but one cannot beat HandBrake when coming to freeware.

    cheers ...
