I have a MacBook Pro 6,2 with OS X 10.6.6 Snow Leopard installed. My Mac app store doesn't work. My iTunes works perfect. My app store says connecting to iTunes but does nothing. Any ideas or ways to fix this?

My App Store is doing the same thing this morning so there must be an outage, it was working fine last night. Give it some time.

Mine has been out for a few days not just now.

    Just found this

    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3638

I'm loosing my impression of Apple. They release a flawed iPhone 4 and then finally fixed it with using a rubber bumper and updates. My MacBook Pro had issues until I installed the update combo. Why do they insist on releasing flawed products before properly testing and working out the bugs. This is aggravating, to top it off the "fix" is to wipe everything and reinstall the OS. What is this. Could you actually release a fix other than loosing a clean install OS already. I just installed and updated everything now I have to do it again cause they can't get it fixed right the first time through the updates.

Update: Spent 1hr on the phone with Apple and no resolution. Hope they fix this its annoying.

Still not working. I tried what I read and did something wrong I assume cause my Mac wouldnt boot. I did a clean install, downloaded all updates manually and did one update at a time. I isntalled 10.6.4, 10.6.5, and then 10.6.6. I finally installed the airport utility update, iTunes, and Safari as well as a few others. The App store still does not work. I really hope Apple will fix this, its annoying.

Sorry to say but mine has been working OK so I don't think it's an outage...

Mine has been working fine too for the last couple of days so if the OP's still not working I'd contact Apple support.
