Hi Guys. So Im going to buy my new MBP. At first I was gonna spend around 1500, then realized the MBP is MUCH lighter and thinner, then my budget grew to $1800. I still couldnt find anything to match the quality of the MBP even at $1800 (with the student discount).

I'm also going to take the iPod for $250 ($200 rebate), and I'm going to get the new Logitech Nano mouse. The receiver is so tiny I'm just going to leave it plugged in.

As I'm going to splurge on all this, I need to get a proper bag too. I've read the reviews here for the various bags, and the one that I like the most is the Tom Bihn Ego bag. I guess I'll also get it with the Brain Cell and Strap. Like I said, this entire setup is gonna have to last me at least 3 years, so it's got to be good.

Anyone else uses the Ego for their 15" MBP? Of if you dont, would you recommend it?

The 4X Brain Cell is designed to fit the MBP perfectly and snugly. No matter how compact the receiver is, I'd hesitate to just leave it in where it may be pressed against by the walls of the Brain Cell and possibly snap/damage the USB port.

Other than that, I don't have the Ego, but I"m very happy with my Brain Cell and Brain Bag combo.

I too am looking for a bag, and I came across the Sportfolio Deluxe and Brenthaven Prolite II bags, both for the 15.4" MBP.

You might wanna take a peek at these as well.

I like the STM loft bag. Provides good protection, pretty compact profile, looks pretty good, and it's under $70.
