I do believe this is a reported problem with the new MBPs.

That looks awful. I hope it is just a driver issue. An issue like that would definitely keep me from buying a MBP. Let us know if you find a solution.

my point is that it looks more yellow towards the bottom. This problem isnt very apparent with straight on photos, but straight on in real life it's there. this angle only makes it more apparent.

the finder bar at the top is much less yellow than the dock at the bottom.

It would be nice if someone else could take a pic of theirs to compare to this.

This is a documented issue with the new SR MBPs. Apple should fix it for you if you send it in or take it to an apple store, I think.

Some people claimed that the new SR MBP software update (1.0), solved yellowing issues.

A bottom 1/3rd yellowing issue on the SR MBPs has definitely been mentioned before.

At first I looked REALLY hard and I might have noticed something, but after changing the color profile and just working around, i really do not notice it. if i TRY to notice it, it seems like it appears, but just using it it's so darn good that I don't even give it a second thought

Is this noticable right from the start or does it turn up over time? I will go pick up a macbook pro hopefully today if it is in stock and I would ask them to unpack it and check the screen for dead pixels. Maybe could check for "yellow screen" too.

I just picked up a standard MBP 17" and haven't noticed any of the yellowness in either MAC OS or Vista. Both OS's had all the updates done so wasn't aware of it being there before hand.

    cheers

Mine did. I sent it back to Apple and they're replacing the screen.

It looks awful since it's viewed from aside!!!

My LCD is perfect but looks yellow from aside. (Look at the other one, it even looks purple doesn't it.) You cannot blame it for being yellow when you are looking from a bad angle.

Mine looks yellow from side angles, but it doesn't really bother me since I'm alays viewing it from straight on. It's good to know that Apple is willing to fix it though if I change my mind.

What is the apple policy for dead or stuck pixels? Sorry being lazy if it's been mentioned before.
