Howdy ya'll
So is there any1 else who's annoyed by that strange noise which macbook makes or am I the only one ?! Yes it's that friggin electric sound when you adjust your screen's brightness. Not that the sound is loud or anything but it's so annoying. Even clean install of mac os didn't help. And it's not the hard drive that's making the noise. It seems to be coming from top left corner. Blackbook is half a year old and it started to emit that friggin noise a month ago. So did anyone had the same or having the same problem and did anyone removed this god dammed irritating sound !?

Unfortunately I can't get the laptop to apple centre because I'm 2000km away ;S besides I asked if some1 else experienced and maybe they found a solution to fix it without sending to apple n stuff. Besides my warranty is fu*ked IMHO cuz I removed RAM modules and changed them so...

Call AppleCare and arrange to have your laptop sent to them.

Your post title is a bit misleading. You made it sound like the issue you're having is the norm. But then you state in your post that you've had your machine for 6+months and starting having the sound issue a month ago. Most likely your machine has a defect.
You can call Apple and they can send you shipping labels or a box and send it to them. They are pretty fast on repairs. -
installing memory shouldn't void any warranty...
and that sound coming fro the screen area, and changes with the brightness changing, is probably the screen inverter... which is common when they have a defect. It will have to be replaced, or it'll keep getting more and more annoying until it dies then your screen wont work at all. It should be covered under warranty, if you machine is under warranty... if its not under warranty, its not super costly, likehaving to replace the whole screen, but between shipping costs and part cost they might charge you like $150+ I have no idea... been a long time now since i did Apple warranty work, but back when I had to change inverters, some would cost like $50 to $60 just for the part... but I don't have any way of knowing the costs for yours. -
yeah. Thanx a lot guys I'll give a try with apple the next day. hope it's not a major deal
Anyone else experiencing the same annoying problem?
