So I just installed Quicksilver because of pressure from...umm....people I don't even know. :D

I REALLY like some of the easy move/copy things etc, but I'm unsure what plugins are an absolute MUST.

Also, I can't see to move files into my iTunes music folders using it. The music folders don't show up. Is there some tip to make those work? And does "append to" not work with .rtf files?

So yes, all tips welcome! What are the must-have plugins, and what do they do!?

    Thanks in advance!

The must have plugins are first and foremost plugins for any programs you have. So for instance with the iTunes plugin, you can play/pause, skip to the next track, play a playlist, etc. With the Transmit, plugin I can upload a file to a server.

I can see the iTunes music folders no problem, not sure what the issue would be. Wait I see I think. Do it like this:
    Open Quicksilver pane
Type in the file you want to move then tab
Type in the command you want (move to, copy to, etc) then tab
Then type in 'Music' for your music folder
Here is where it is different after typing in music, it will list all folders that match that word. Now use your arrow keys to navigate to the music folder, then use right arrow to go inside the music folder. See how it works?

    Not sure about .rtf files.

Thanks for the reply. Can you explain why I can't move a file immediately to a e.g. "Dido" folder within iTunes music? I have to type "Music" and then move through to the folder. Do hierarchies not work then? If so, what's the point? :)

Nested hierarchies work - you just have to check the appropriate option in the Catalog section of preferences to how far down you want to go.

Can you explain to me where that option is?

    Thanks!

    Preferences->Catalog

find your iTunes music folder and there should be a "more options" button to the right somewhere - or something like that. It'll let you see how many levels of nested folders you want the catalog to index.

If you can't find it, you can just add the location to the catalog too.

Can't get any more specific than that since I no longer use quicksilver, sorry.
