Here is the deal.
I know the calculated battery meter is not the most reliable reference in the world by I will get to that later.
O.K., so the first couple of days my meter shows outstanding battery life. Like between 6:30-8:30 hours.
The circumstances of which this battery life is achieved include: Screen at half brightness, wireless on, Skype on, Safari browser on, and Windows Word document in the background.
A couple of days later, I see a significant decrease in battery life. I tried all I can to get the highest calculation on a full change, and the most I could get is 4:01. The circumstances of which this battery life is achieved include: Screen at half brightness, wireless on, none of the above mentioned applications running in the background.
So I take the thing to the Apple authorized technician on my university campus, and the diagnostics test says the battery is up to standards.
Anyone else having a similar problem? Again, I know the battery calculation in the top right corner is not the most reliable device, but to have this drastic of a change in calculated battery life makes you take notice, especially when battery life was a deciding factor in my Macbook purchase.

I've had mine for about a month, battery is still strong. I've been off the plug for about a half hour, and 80% screen brightness, 20% keyboard backlight, wifi on, bluetooth on, mail, adium, some safari tabs open, and I have 5:30 left in the battery meter.
Any 13" MBP owners think their battery is not up to standards?
