    Amazon.com $100 rebate

    I was all ready to buy a black MacBook from the Apple store for $1499 + 123.67 tax = $1622.67. Noticed on this forum that I could buy from Amazon (had no idea they sold Macs). I just went to Amazon and not only will I avoid tax, and save $5 on the price, but they have a $100 rebate going right now. The forum saved me about $225, thanks! (And to top it off I'm getting it tomorrow with Amazon Prime shipping)

    Is that the new 2.4GHz model or the 2.2GHz? If it's the latter, Apple was offering those in refurbished models last week for $1049. (They are out of stock now though). However they still have the 2.2GHz white ones for $999.

    It's the new 2.4GHz, currently offered at the Apple Store for $1499. On Amazon, it's $1494 plus $100 rebate.

    Yeah, you're right, I didn't notice that before. I guess on Amazon you need to do a thorough search to find the best deal.
