Just wondering what kind of battery life I should be expecting on the new Macbook with Airport on, bluetooth off, and screen about half way dimmed. I thought the battery life was close to 4 hours but it's estimating closer to 3. It's actually bouncing between 2:55 and 3:05 for the past few mins. Anything else I can/should be doing to extend the life?

I would say the battery life for the 2.0GHz MB should be around 4+ hours. On my Alu-MB 2.4GHz, I get about 3:45 hours of battery life with screen on halfway, back-lighting on about halfway, and Airport on, and Bluetooth off. Without the backlit keyboard on the 2.0GHz model, you should get about 10-15 minutes more battery life.

Hmm... I hope I didn't screw it up by doing their recommended completely drain and charge on the first use...

No you didn't screw up. Apple recommends to calibrate their batteries when you first get your machine, and mabye once a month after that. Calibration helps the battery calculator calculate how much charge you can hold on that battery.
