I have an Airport Extreme Base Station with an Airport Express configured as WDS to extend the wireless range. It works fine for a while, usually couple hours, then the AE dropped its connection to the AEBS for no reason. If I have my MBP close to the AE, it connects to the network but cannot connect to the internet.

The AE light stayed green but it is not connected to the AEBS.
If I restart or recycle the power of the AE, it works fine again for few hours.

I have tried a few things based on the older article I look up in Google. Set the AE and the AEBS on the same channel, use fix IP instead of DHCP, nothing help so far.

Both the AEBS and the AE has the latest firmware.

Anyone has any suggestion what to do?

    Thanks,

have you found any solutions to this.
We loose our internet connection every other day to this same problem.

We use ATT as our provider and something tells me that it has to do with their PPoe user / password requirement.

    thoughts?

There's an issue with the gigabit AEBS for many people where it'd just drop out completely (not just wireless - but everything) from time to time.

There are a few threads about it over on the Apple forums. Apple's been saying they recognize the problem at times and telling other people they never heard of it (way to be consistent Apple support :p). Thus far, no fixes have been issued though.

Your post was fine. The guy only posted a week ago; the 3-year date is his registration date.
