I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS!

The Airport Express came with my Macbook when I got it,but I haven't bothered to set it up, I just connected to my regular wireless router. I decided to mess around with it since I got it for free. I unpackage it, install the program from the cd with no problems. I am having trouble connecting to it, when I scan for apple wireless divices with airport utility, the AE does not pop up. That's where I am right now, help would appreciated.

Ok, I am upstairs, my airport express is in the outlet in my bedroom and is green, I am using my ipod touch but it only has 1 bar. How do I get my ipod to work with airport express?
