After using boot camp to format your HDD, could you install windows using vmware to that partition and boot natively?

vmware stores its virtual machines as a single package in the documents folder
you wouldnt be able to boot off it natively

You could, you'd just have to set the boot up selector to exclusively boot to the Windows "partition." It would be just one BIG Windows partition. Not necessarily through VM itself, but through System Preferences.

you could do it the other way around and install windows via boot camp then use that partition in vmware as well
