Hey guys!
I'm looking to buy CS3 (the Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat package) for the new Mac I'm getting.
I can't quite get my head around which to buy. What I mean is, student, education, or retail version (or whatever the options are)?
I think there are supposed to be some limitations on what you can use it for, depending on which you buy, but I don't know about this, which is why I'm asking. I'll be using it for paid freelance work, so I want to make sure I buy the right one. Is the retail version necessary?
Also, where is the best place to buy? There seems to be quite a variation in price, depending on where you look.

Thanks! Very helpful...

If you're a college student, try your bookstore or buy w/ education discount from Adobe website. You will need to verify your student status if you decided to go this route.

The student version is not supposed to be used for anything professional. So if you are going to use this for commercial uses, then Adobe expects you to buy the non-education version. Really it is up to you.

I got mine from school for about 300. Other than what you're supposed to use it for, there is no real difference.

Ok. Thanks for the clarification, Cliffex.
