Do you think I can run Adobe After Effects on a 2.16ghz BlackBook w/ 2 gigs of ram? I will be doing very complex 3-D film effects for my friend's short. Any ideas on how well that would work?

you obviously know a decent amount about after effects and how much resources it can use, the only thing limiting it will be the GPU, and you will be doing 3d work so it obviously won't be the most efficient system to use, but it should still work.

AE is not that hard on the graphics.

those benchmarks are for CS2 running in Rosetta.

After Effects is not hard on GPU at all unless you are doing 3D stuff with it. like I said, there is not reason it shouldn't "work" but it obviously won't work as well as a system with a higher end GPU.

Yea, it was what I was expecting... The thing is im in London using my friends Macbook. I have a Macbook Pro @ home in the States but I was wondering if it would even be feasible. I guess i'll give it a go and give it a try. Thanks a lot everyone for helping.
