    I am trying to connect via Adium to my MSN account but it keeps loading and nothing ever happens..

    I tried connecting via microsoft messenger and it worked..

    anyone have any idea of what happening? is there any difference between the way adium connects compared to MSN?

    Adium can't really disconnect, it just uses the other services.

    Yes, MS changed something or other and now Adium 1.3.2 cannot connect. Try rolling back to 1.3.1 for a few days till the Adium guys release a new beta with a fix.
    @Seshan - Are you using 1.3.2?

    I'd assume so since I just had a update a couple days ago.

    *edit* Apparently I'm using 1.3.3b1. So why not just update forward instead of back :D
