Hi people, I just wanna ask if it's possible and how hard -or easy- it is to have 4GB of RAM on your Macbook??

A friend of mine has a Macbook and she just want to have at least 3GB of ram installed. Will OS X recognize more than 3? and it is easy to install extra memory on a macbook??

    Thanks!

I just popped in 4gb on my MBP. It's a 2.16 and I thought it would only recognize 3gb, but lo and behold there was the full 4gb. It's not hard to do (I'm a klutz and had no problem). You Tube search Adding Memory To Macbook and you can get a detailed vid-clip of how to go about it. Just make sure, MAKE SURE, you've gotten rid of any static. It's a bummer to buy the memory only to fry the modules when you touch them.
Go for it. Your MB will be happier and so will you.
    Good luck.

Its really easy to install RAM on the MacBook. I have some links to it in the Mac Switcher's Guide :).
